Signe behind the blog SignePling has made a lovely candle holder with some concrete and a bread tin.
Cover the bread tin and 4 tea lights in cling film. Fill the tin with the concrete mix (can be found at B&Q or Homebase) and stick in the tea lights where you want them. Look how pretty!
Signe you are such a DIY queen!

Oh I love this idea, been meaning too try something similar myself, my dad has some sink hole concrete blocks in his shed form building sites and I want to cut a hole in them and turn them into candle holders, something I think for the new year as I should be getting on with me designs for my course work….must dash.

Sounds like a great idea. I like the industrial touch and roughness that concrete brings. You should definitely do it!
